The Greatest Illusion of Present Reality: Material Addiction
We are spiritual beings having a human experience. Souls having a physical experience. Source wanted (and wants) to experience itself in many ways, in different forms with unique perspectives. Each of us is an individualized aspect of the Source of all things. Some call it God. Some call it Allah. Universe, Alpha Omega, Goddess, Oshun, Buddha and more. Since all is one - there is only the illusion of separation while all is complete and integrated. That's what makes our Earth experience unique and exciting yet believing in the separate nature of things will perpetuate inner fear of the world.
In this blog post, we'll talk about:
- The Nature of the Material world
- The Ego's obsession with it
- Moving beyond
The Nature of the Material World
Everything we perceive through our senses—the objects we touch, the sounds we hear, the sights we see—originates from a more profound, immaterial source. This immaterial realm is not bound by the constraints of time and space; it exists as pure potentiality, where ideas and forms exist in their ideal state.
What you see on the screen of reality is the effect. The cause is found within you through layers of beliefs, thoughts, perspectives, emotions and triggers. The biggest illusion on Earth is that we can create change by focusing on the effects. The human ego seems to focus on the 'problem' to avoid the 'problem' but ironically that brings more of the 'problem' up. The reason this continues is because reality is a mirror. Material is the effect. Immaterial is the cause. What you experience in your outer reality is a reflection of your internal world made of personal truths & perspectives.
"The mirror of reality can't smile until you do." - Nero Knowledge
Each object, each experience, is a momentary crystallization of a deeper reality. For instance, a beautiful painting is not just paint on canvas; it embodies the artist's vision, emotion, and the ideal of beauty itself. As a God over your reality, you hold the paint and the paintbrush - what you embody in the reflection is quite literally up to you.
The Addiction to Material Reality
In modern society, there is a multi layered conditioning of the ego for constant, fleeting gratification. From sex, food, mind numbing work, drugs, shopping we as humans escape material reality with more material. This approach is keeping majority of humans enslaved running away from what they can't see - emotions, thoughts, belief loops and other's opinions. I understand this cycle all too well. I build loops between my brain and heart because I was afraid to go within my mind. It wasn't until I learned how to practice presence that I embodied mindfulness more of the time. The irony is slavery still exists but within the mind. My intention is to give you tools to help deepen your connection with your inner divinity - which guides you on the path to true freedom.
Consumerism culture can be simplified to the act of consuming to avoid feeling (being). The Zen Buddhist monks have a beautiful approach to increasing the amount of presence in each moment. Presence is directly correlated with awareness. This is derived from the notion, there is nothing to attain. Just like the sunflower doesn't do anything but allows itself to reveal. Your purpose is to be yourself - reveal your beauty. 'There is no need to put anything in front of us and run after it. We already have everything we are looking for, everything we want to become.' Understanding that you lack nothing that you are already complete, nothing outside of you can satisfy the true essence of your Soul. The material world is here to compliment not to complete!

Moving beyond solely the Material
All material things derive from a common immaterial source, then everything is inherently related. This brings forth questions about the nature of existence: Are we merely observers in this material world, or do we play a role in shaping it through our consciousness and perceptions? Is the material world merely an illusion, or is it a necessary aspect of a larger, more complex tapestry of existence?

If you align with my blog, you most likely have been lead to contemplate the essence of reality itself via the exploration of your material world. I'm a big fan of asking your inner self questions, because the Source within will ALWAYS reveal what is aligned for you. This interplay between the material and immaterial invites us to reflect on our own experiences and the meanings we ascribe to them, urging us to look beyond the surface and seek the deeper truths that underlie our reality.

The beauty of this material world can be felt when we honor our lives with an - everything is sacred outlook. The list goes on and on. But THIS is what we are here for - to BE, to Grow, to Exist, to Explore and most of all experience.
