A Beginner’s Guide to the Chakra System & the Power of Shakti Energy
What are Chakras?
There is cosmic energy that flows within every being. When this energy is concentrated in the body, we call them chakras. Better translated from Sanskrit into “wheel.” This gives us the perfect visualization of these energy centers as wheels. There are seven main wheels (chakras) in human body.
When a wheel gets blocked, this affects the flow of energy through the rest of the chakras. Blocked chakras can manifest as lower scale emotions such as fear, anger, jealousy and mental turmoil. If blocked for longer periods of time, dis-ease can manifest in the body near or in that energy center. Chakras become blocked through traumatic experiences, self-rejection, unsafe environments and other situations that cause contraction (becoming small) to occur.
When we unblock a wheel, this opens up the chakra to move Shakti energy freely through us. You are a condiut for this divine love energy. By opening these centers, you become more open to life, love, humanity, joy, bliss and intuition. Opening of the chakra centers brings clarity, transformation of emotions, deepening peace and inner confidence. Some tools to clearing chakra blockages are breath-work, meditation, reiki and yogic practice.
Why you should tap into this Shakti energy?
Becoming more aware of the energy centers in our body allows us to connect more deeply with ourselves and others. Our body is our home (For now). By clearing stuck energy in our body, this improves our ability to connect with our higher selves, dissolve the ego and center into Source consciousness. This internal shift will bring about shifts in the outer world. When you feel more safe within yourself, you cultivate a safe environment outside of yourself.
The mirror effect of internal deep chakra work will cause:
a shift in self awareness
Deepening of empathy
Heightened intuition
Feeling grounded
Internal fulfillment
And other unique shifts for your Soul’s journey
Each of us are on our individualized missions on Earth. Activating, opening & nourishing one’s chakras will create different affects. Be mindful that this is a continual process not a one & done experience. As you tune yourself to the subtleties of your energetic field, you will more easily identify misaligned chakras. Enjoy the journey of knowing your Self.
How can I experience this Shakti energy?
Meditation is THE most powerful way to experience the activation of these energy centers. It is the practice of stilling the body, watching the breath and observing the mind. From this stillness, you emerge from the surface level sensations of the body and mind to the deep sensation of universal connection. Through meditation your’e able to truly be with yourself no matter how you show up to your practice.
